Ciudad Rodrigo Solar Plant
The Ciudad Rodrigo photovoltaic plant is located within the municipal area of Ciudad Rodrigo, in the province of Salamanca. It is a solar power project promoted by IBERENOVA PROMOCIONES, S.A., a subsidiary of Iberdrola. Construction and commissioning are scheduled to begin in 2026.
The plant is divided into four areas around Ciudad Rodrigo: a north-western zone covering 122.4 hectares, a north-eastern zone covering 137.4 hectares, a central zone covering 310.8 hectares, and a southern zone covering 109.1 hectares.
It is the largest photovoltaic plant in the province of Salamanca, with over 300 MWp of installed capacity. According to Iberdrola, the solar plant will generate clean energy to supply more than 155,000 households.
