Solar Photovoltaic Plant Huelva 2021

The Huelva 2021 photovoltaic plant is an ambitious solar energy generation project in the province of Huelva. Promoted and developed by Alter Enersun, this installation has an installed capacity of nearly 50 MWp and is composed of 113,686 solar panels.

Construction work began after the laying of the first stone in June 2020 and the plant entered operation in 2021, during the pandemic, generating more than 250 jobs during its execution and about 10 permanent positions in the long term.

The plant is located in the municipality of Huelva (Andalusia), and borders the A-49 highway.

Huelva 2021 expands the city’s photovoltaic capacity, joining its sister plant Huelva 2020 and others in the area.

Huelva 2021 produces around 100,000 MWh per year, which is equivalent to the energy consumption of about 28,000 homes and prevents the emission of tens of thousands of tons of CO₂ annually.
