Solar Photovoltaic Plant Lirios Solar

The Lirios Solar photovoltaic plant is located in the municipality of Chucena, in the province of Huelva (Andalusia).

The promoter and holder of the authorization is the entity Solar Castuera, S.L., whose majority shareholder was BAYWA R.E. PROJECTS ESPAÑA, S.L.U. (BAYWA ESPAÑA).

The General Directorate of Energy Policy and Mines granted the prior administrative and construction authorization for this installation, including its evacuation infrastructure, through Resolution of April 21, 2023. The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the project was previously issued, specified through Resolution of June 23, 2022. The installation is designed to have an installed capacity of 87.12 MW (nominal inverter capacity) and a peak power (MWp) of 99.97 MW.

The Lirios Solar plant takes its name from the area where it is located, one kilometer east of the urban center of Chucena, on seven plots with a combined area of 465.4 hectares. One of them, of 99.3 ha, is located in the municipality of Huévar del Aljarafe, although most of the facilities will be in Huelva territory. The overhead power evacuation line crosses the A-49 highway along its route.
