Solar Photovoltaic Plant Centurion
The Centurión photovoltaic solar plant is located between the municipalities of Segura de León, Fuente de Cantos, Valencia del Ventoso and Fregenal de la Sierra, in the province of Badajoz (Extremadura). The project was promoted by a major international energy group’s Spanish subsidiary and authorized in April 2023 for 116.5 MW of installed capacity (a peak photovoltaic capacity of 154.95 MWp).
The owner of the Centurion solar plant is an independent vehicle company established as a purpose-built entity by its sole partner, a subsidiary of the same international energy group. This energy group develops and manages a significant part of its electricity generation activities in Spain.
