Solar Plant Las Quinientas

The Las Quinientas Photovoltaic Plant, located in the municipality of Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz) over an area of approximately 300 hectares, has an installed photovoltaic peak power of around 110 MWp. The civil works phase began in late 2020 and it started operating in 2022.

Access to the plant is via the CA-3109 road, which crosses the project plots.

The initial promoter was Cartuja Solar S.L.; subsequently the plant was acquired by Bruc Energy (a group of the Canadian fund OPTrust and businessman Juan Béjar) in late 2020.

According to its Environmental Impact Statement, the installation could produce close to 211,961 MWh per year, which would allow a reduction of around 38,364 tons of CO₂ annually.
