Solar Photovoltaic Plant Los Limonetes

The Los Limonetes Solar Photovoltaic Plant is also known as the Monegros Solar photovoltaic plant. This is because the plant is under the ownership of Monegros Solar SL, which is 100% owned by the SAMCA group (a company from Zaragoza).

This plant is located in the province of Badajoz, in southwestern Spain, and is adjacent to the south with the La Florida solar thermal plant, also owned by SAMCA.

With an installed capacity of nearly 50 MWp, the Los Limonetes solar plant consists of 13 sub-plots distributed over an extensive area, which are clearly visible from satellite images due to the arrangement of the solar panels. Construction of the plant began in 2018 and, after a process of development and infrastructure adaptation, it entered commercial operation in 2020. Access to the plant is primarily via the EX-300 road.
