Solar Photovoltaic Plant Arenales

The Arenales solar plant is located in the municipality of Malpartida de Caceres, in Extremadura. It is 2 km west of the urban center. The N-521 highway between Aliseda and Malpartida de Caceres crosses the photovoltaic plant in half, from which the site is accessed.

Promoted by the company Parque Solar Cáceres S.L., the plant entered operation in mid-2022. At the end of 2025, a hybridization project associated with the photovoltaic plant was approved. The projected hybridization has an installed battery capacity of 95 MW and a useful storage capacity of 392.16 MWh in a 4-hour system.
