Solar Photovoltaic Plant Ekian 2

The Ekian photovoltaic park has 24 MWp of installed photovoltaic power. It is registered in Red Electrica as two physical units, Ekian 1 and Ekian 2, of equal “electrical” size, with two associated metering points.

It is located within the Arasur industrial park, in Ribera Baja, province of Alava.

Ekian is the result of public-private collaboration between EVE (Ente Vasco de la Energía) and KREAN. At the time of its inauguration on January 27, 2020, EKIAN was the largest solar energy park in Euskadi. It represented a total investment of 24M€. According to the press, it will generate the equivalent of the consumption of 15,000 households. The ownership of the plant is shared among 26 companies.
