Solar Photovoltaic Plant Fuenmayor

The Fuenmayor solar plant, located in La Rioja, is one of the pioneering photovoltaic installations in the region, put into operation by the Solaria group at the end of 2008 as part of an ambitious reindustrialization project on the land of the former Electrolux factory.

The industrial area and the plant are accessed from the N-232 highway, from which the photovoltaic panels are visible.

With an installed capacity of 10.44 MWp (9.9 MW nominal), this plant was conceived not only as a clean energy generation center, but also as the nucleus of a complex that included the manufacture of photovoltaic modules, representing at the time an investment close to 80 million euros.

Registered under the regional code PEE/RE/LO-1023, the installation is characterized by being located in an area of high industrial relevance and having been recently financed through bond structures and long-term debt, consolidating itself as a key operational asset within the historical portfolio of renewable energies in Spain.

In 2017, Solaria signed a lease agreement with the business group from La Rioja “Grupo Perica”. Since then, it has been in charge of managing these facilities. The 20-year lease contract will allow the Solaria Group to obtain global cumulative rents exceeding 9 million euros.
