Solar Photovoltaic Plant Serbal

The Serbal Solar photovoltaic plant is part of the large solar cluster developed by Ib Vogt in the province of Segovia and is located mainly in the municipality of Valverde del Majano (Segovia). In administrative procedures, it was authorized as a 145 MWp peak photovoltaic capacity installation (project dated 2020 and administrative resolution in 2023), with associated grid connection infrastructure to the Majano and Segovia substations.

The project is integrated into a set of four plants (Serbal, Castaño Solar, Baobab Solar and Pato Solar) that together total around 513 MWp and that Ib Vogt has launched as the “Segovia Cluster”; the commissioning of the complex and the inauguration took place between the end of 2024 and the first half of 2025.

The publicly identified promoter/developer is the multinational Ib Vogt, which has developed and inaugurated the cluster and its installations in the affected municipalities.

Access to the plant is via rural roads and local roads connected to the municipality of Valverde del Majano and the N-110 road corridor (the N-110 is the main road connecting Segovia with other municipalities in the area), also using municipal accesses such as Oteruelo street and agricultural roads to the plots of each array.

The estimated production of Serbal Solar is in the order of 293,000 MWh/year
