Solar Plant Baobab Solar

The Baobab Solar photovoltaic plant, located in the municipality of Abades (province of Segovia, Castilla y León, Spain), is part of the “Proyecto Segovia” solar cluster that groups together several photovoltaic installations (Castaño Solar, Pato Solar, Serbal Solar and Baobab Solar). Technically, this plant has a peak installed power of 95.18 MWp. It is located on approximately 151 hectares of former dryland agricultural land.

The plant is promoted by IB VOGT GmbH in Spain, and the installation is commercialized through an exclusive power purchase agreement (PPA) with Equinix. The legal concessionaire company is Baobab Solar SL (CIF B88132253), and whose ultimate owner is IbV Solar Parks B.V. (100% owned by IB VOGT).

The plant is accessed via “calle Oteruelo” in Valverde del Majano, heading south, and rural roads that provide access to the considered plots.
