Solar Photovoltaic Plant Escatrón 2

The implementation area of the “Escatrón Solar Dos” photovoltaic plant is located 4.2 km from the municipality of Escatrón, in the Comarca Ribera Baja del Ebro, in the province of Zaragoza. It was commissioned in 2019, and the owner of the plant is Escatrón Solar Dos S.L., which is currently 100% owned by the Everwood capital fund. The initial promoter of the plant was the COBRA Group, which was also responsible for the construction of other photovoltaic plants in the area.

Access to the site is via the regional road A-221, which connects Escatrón with Caspe, and from there via rural roads that provide access to the plots.

The location of the photovoltaic installation was carried out on a set of plots from various polygons, all belonging to the municipality of Escatrón, adjacent to each other and totaling an approximate area of 148.96 hectares, whose prior use and classification was agricultural. Specifically, approximately 134.86 hectares are cataloged as arable land and were therefore used for the project.

The plant connects to Red Eléctrica de España at the node of the 400 kV ARAGON electrical transport substation, located in the municipality of Castelnou (Teruel). To raise the voltage, the plant uses the 30/132/400 kV SUR collector substation, which also serves 6 other photovoltaic plants in the area.
