Solar Photovoltaic Plant Pato Solar

The Pato Solar plant is a plant with more than 100 MWp of installed capacity in the province of Segovia. Pato Solar is part of the solar complex in Segovia along with the photovoltaic plants Castaño Solar, with 120 MWp, Baobab Solar, with 85 MWp and Serbal Solar, with 145 MWp.

Access to the plant enclosure is via Oteruelo street in Valverde del Majano and through rural roads connecting to that municipality. The site connects to the N-110 road corridor, which links Segovia with Villacastín. Construction began in mid-2024, and it entered commercial operation in March 2025.

The Pato Solar project was developed by the German company ib vogt GmbH. Subsequently, ib vogt sold the project to the NextPower V ESG fund, managed by NextEnergy Capital. In this regard, NextEnergy Capital, through the NextPower V ESG fund, is the owner or final investor of the project. Additionally, NextEnergy Capital indicated that it has signed a PPA with an “innovative industrial leader” (quoted verbatim) to whom it supplies part of the electrical energy produced by this plant.

Pato Solar produces approximately 215,000 MWh per year of clean energy, enough to supply more than 55,000 homes.
