Solar Plant Las Naranjillas

The Las Naranjillas solar photovoltaic plant, located in the municipality of Carmona (Sevilla), is a solar park of approximately 50 MWp of installed peak power. It was originally developed by Hanwha Energy, with more than 150,000 modules installed over an area of around 94 hectares.

In December 2020, the Irish group Amarenco acquired the plant from Hanwha Energy, marking its entry into the Spanish photovoltaic market. The installation is operated by GRS (Grupo Gransolar), which is also responsible for its maintenance (O&M) and has reported that the plant is performing above expectations.

Regarding access and grid connection: the administrative authorization for the electrical infrastructure (evacuation line) was granted to the company Las Naranjillas Energía, S.L.

It produces enough energy to supply about 14,000 homes and avoids the emission of nearly 52,000 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere per year.
