Olmedilla Hive Photovoltaic Solar Plant
The Olmedilla Hive photovoltaic solar plant is a large-scale solar facility with nearly 170 MWp of installed capacity, located within the municipality of Olmedilla de Alarcón, in the province of Cuenca. It lies 5 km east of the town centre and around 7 km north-east of the well-known Alarcón Reservoir.
Access to the site is via the CM-2100 road. The plant is made up of several plots of land, some situated to the north of the CM-2100 and others to the south. The step-up substation of the plant is located south of the road.
The plant forms part of a cluster of several other photovoltaic projects, together reaching almost 500 MWp of installed capacity within a radius of approximately 5 km. One of them is Sabinar Hive, with which it shares evacuation infrastructure.
